The Kandy Perahera is a religious event that takes place where the relic of the tooth of Buddha is paraded around the streets alongside a lot of celebrations. These celebrations include everything from drumbeats and fireworks to elephants.

 

Cup Of Ceylonese Tea

During the rule of the British many years ago, the tea exports industry really started to grow and develop and to this day, tea is one of the most loved beverages across the country and it is also one of the main sources of revenue generation for the country.

Going away without enjoying a cup of Ceylonese tea while visiting the tea factories would be an absolute shame so we urge you to pay these tea plantations a visit. One of the plantations that you can visit in Kandy is the Giragama Tea Plantation.
